The new Facebook Privacy setting called “Instant Personalization” goes into effect. The new setting shares your data with non-FB sites & it is automatically set to “Enabled”. Go to Account>Privacy Settings>Apps & Websites>Instant Personalization>edit settings & uncheck “Enable”. Btw, if your friends don’t do this, they will be sharing info about you as well.

There has been a lot of concern over the facebook privacy settings. Some people do not know how to set up their privacy settings, they just set up their account then start posting, not aware that everyone can see what their posting. You should never post pictures that you don’t want to come back and haunt you in the future, once their out there, there out there. But, other info like phone numbers, email address, IM screen names, and addresses you might want to hide from others.
To start, after you log into facebook, in the upper right corner click Account, then click Privacy settings, then on that page along the left side click custom, then next to that there will be a link for customize settings, Here is where you can choose what you want people to see.
